Day 7 (7-03-08) Cape Mears Lighthouse & Tillamook Cheese Factory

We all went on a drive to Tillamook to the Cape Mears Lighthouse. We had really nice weather that day. Here is the top of the lighthouse and some people are in it taking the tour.
Jazmine, Anthony, Alanna, and Olivia are going around the top tier of the lighthouse.
I was waving trying to get their attention to take their picture. Olivia and her mom Erica looked up and waved back at me.
Hi Erica, how was the tour?? It was fun to use the super zoom on my camera to get these shots. Steven is hanging out by the lighthouse waiting for his family. Barry took him up into the lighthouse for the tour. I got this photo when he came back down.Alanna is in the blue sweatshirt on the bench and Ryan is in red. Jazmine is by the babies. Cute photo of Brett's kids. They were such good helpers with the twins. They help take care of their little sister Hope back home in Pahrump.Jaz took this picture of me next to the girls. It turned out pretty good. Another pic of the same pose. Behind us is Vince taking in the sights.A picture of Ryan, Jazmine, and Alanna by the lighthouse. The Cape Mears lighthouse is one of the shortest lighthouses on the Oregon Coast. It is only 48 feet tall. But the beam can be seen for over 20 miles out to sea. The little building to the right contains a gift shop in it. Some of the gang waiting outside the lighthouse. Vince and Anna are looking at the girls. Barry is hanging out by the fence. The only problem with candid shots, is that no one is looking at the camera. Oh well. This view is so pretty. I love the flowers (Queen Anne's Lace) in front and the rocks out in the ocean. The ocean and the Oregon Coast is really breathtaking in the summer. This rock looks like a frog sitting on a lily pad. Many types of birds make their homes upon these rocks. They have lots of white on them from the bird doo doo. I had to put that in...he he he. It's funny to write doo doo.Now it's time for the Cheese Factory!!! My favorite place to eat ice cream. I took this photo to show that the girls were there too. Barry actually fed Chantrell chocolate ice cream for the first time. I fed Brenna some of mine, Cherry Cheesecake, but she liked chocolate better.Brenna sits in back because she needs the shade more and Chantrell sits up front. My cutie pies!! A sleeping Brenna in the back. So precious!!A picture of inside the factory. Interesting but boring at the same time. Where are the workers?? Hmmmm...maybe they are trying the product. Cheese curds anyone?!!! OK, I found a person. This part of the factory has the large blocks of cheese on the conveyor belt.As Zoey would say, "Dis iz da mama cow n dis iz da bebe cow." Did I do it right Jenn?!! The happy Lee family... Barry is holding Brenna and I am holding Chantrell. Time for lunch. Can you guess what number my order is??
We had a great time visiting with family and enjoying all the sights that day. We drove back through Garibaldi and took pictures of mom's old house. She will post them on her blog, someday...just teasing mom.

You captured some great pics of the lighthouse, I didn't walk down this time and missed taking pics, I'm glad you and Erica got some of Alanna and the lighthouse. It's been fun looking at everyones pictures of the same trip. Hope the girls are doing better, we're all well here at this very moment and time...knock on wood.
