Random pics from Jan and early Feb.

This is our new kitchen band. We have Brenna on the turkey basters..."Toot, Toot, Spit, Toot, Toot, Spit..."
and Chantrell is on the strainer. "Boing, Boing, Zip, Boing, Boing, Zip"
Now let's play all together. "Toot, Toot, Spit, Boing, Boing, Zip..."

Getting ready for a walk around the block. The girls are bundled up for the warm 50 degree weather. Not really warm at all if you ask me.
Hi Babies!!!

The fire hydrants are painted yellow and green...Oregon Ducks colors. We thought it would be funny to take a picture of it.

Barry at my b-day party. We always celebrate it on Super Bowl Sunday. We had a nice BBQ inside and watched the game afterwards.

Racer and Rhiannon with full mouths. Mom and dad and Ryder are there too. I think that my mom has more pics of the party on her camera.

I made a cake in the shape of a football. I turned 38 this year. I got some pretty shirts, jewelry, money and cards. It was a fun birthday.

I thought it was sweet of Rhiannon to make me a card and to give me some of her things as a gift. She made the cup in art class at school. She is becoming a tweenager already. Her friends are always calling her to come over and play or spend the night.

Inaugaration Day--Jan. 17th

Barry and I watched the event on TV at 9 am. We videotaped it for the girls to watch when they get older. Barry is a Democrat and is happy to have him as the President. We have been saving newspapers and magazines with Barack Obama in them. It's important to us to keep things like that for the twins because we want them to know what life was like when they were babies. My mom did the same thing for me too. I have newspaper clippings from when I was born and I like to go back and read them. It also has the price of what things cost from that time.

Chantrell is just waking up and playing in her crib.
A happy baby Brenna playing with my diet coke on the floor.
There she is awake and standing at the laundry basket.

Part two of the Jan trip to Eugene

Later in the day we went to dinner at Rose and Dave's house and then off to a couple of basketball games. Levi is in middle school and his dad, Kevin, is the coach.
Levi is wearing jersey number 1. Watching the boys play basketball was different than the girls. The boys were way more agressive and fought for the ball.
Pics from the game. Their team won the first game but lost the second game.
The twins were hanging out in their carseats trying to get some sleep.
Grandpa Dave is holding the twins. Grandma Rose is sitting right below Dave.

January trip to Eugene

We went for a visit to Eugene in January. The girls have grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who live there. First we stopped at Barry's parent's house, Rose and Dave Lee. We got there early in the morning, so the girls were still in their pjs.
Chantrell found a backscratcher to play with.
Brenna was playing with toys and climbing on my legs.
Happy baby!
Brenna wants the backscratcher too.
Barry is holding Chantrell. She loved watching the kids run back and forth.
Picture of the crowd watching the morning game.
Barry and Levi playing some hoops during the break in the game.
He can even shoot baskets holding a baby.
We made it over to Barry's mom's house for lunch and a nice visit. Scrappy dog is always fun to play with.
Barry is holding Brenna and his mom gave our girls four big stuffed animals. She has a collection of teddy bears.
The twins love to roll around on stuffed animals.
Grandma Carolyn is playing with Brenna and her favorite doggie toy.
Babies on the floor after they ate some lunch.
Chantrell is helping herself to her sister's bottle. They end up passing cold germs back and forth between them.

Carolyn is holding Chantrell.

Brenna crawling on the floor trying to get into the food.

Their cat Shiba perched on a shelf. Pic below, saying good-bye until next time. Barry's grandmom, Margaret, his mom, Carolyn, and her boyfriend John. We love you guys!!

Beach Pictures

After a big storm in January, Barry and I and the girls went for a walk on the beach. We saw people with trucks loading up lots of driftwood.
Barry helps me pull the stroller over the sand dunes and in the soft sand. It's a good workout for both of us.
A cool picture of a redwood tree stump that was washed ashore.
Looking South towards Tillamook Head.
Pretty blue green waves.
A sleeping Brenna in the stroller.
An awake Chantrell enjoying the cool breeze.
More driftwood in the sand.
Sand dunes and beach grass.
This is Surf Cove at the end of Seaside. Surfers like this area because the waves come in towards the rocks and they can catch some good size waves.
Same area but looking North towards the main part of Seaside. You can see the hotels in the distance on the right. Barry and I like to drive on the beach and visit the touristy part of Seaside every month or so. We are so close to the ocean but often stay inside where it is warm and dry. We can't wait for summer to get here.
