Christmas 2008--Finally Posted!!!

Remember to turn off the music at the bottom of the blog page so you can hear the video clips. I always forget to write that.

Tiffany's kids all lined up watching "Horton Hears a Who" on Christmas Eve.

A happy Brenna belly crawling on the floor.

She found a toy ball to taste test.A smiling Chantrell crawling on her hands and knees.
She learned how to sit up and then get down and crawl some more.
Dad's in the kitchen making the cheese fondue. We had out traditional meat, cheese, and chocolate fondue that night.
The table all set for a fun party with a veggie tray, Hickory Farms gift box, and frosted cookies.

Tiffany is playing with Chantrell. "Got your nose!" Chantrell is dressed in her Christmas pjs and little Santa hat.

Rhiannon in her new pjs getting ready to open a present.

Brenna liked playing with the wrapping paper more than her toys.

Chantrell enjoyed all the excitement.

"Brenna, look up please." She was busy playing with the paper again.

Inside the box were the girl's Pooh Bear crawling toys, which they loved. Thanks for finding them Erica.Ryder in his new Batman pjs by the fireplace.

Video Clips

Here are some video clips that Barry took of the beach and of the girls. He doesn't talk that much or at all in the clips. Just listen to the sounds of the wind and of the ocean. The girls are seven months old in the videos. I forgot...when you want to play the videos, first scroll down to the bottom of the screen and turn off the music. Otherwise, you'll hear Coldplay singing and not the video clips. Oops! : )

Sledding pics and more snowy pics

I know...how many more pics of snow can you look at??!! I just wanted to post some of my favorites from December. I also figured out how to add music to my blog, thanks to my friend Pattie. It was pretty easy to create my own playlist. You might even hear Christmas music on there. Well, I'm going to be posting pics from Christmas soon, so I thought that it would be appropriate. What's new here?? The twins have been sick with the croup...nasty stuff. I have been to the emergency room four times--two times with each baby--for breathing treatments, liquid steroid medicine, and peace of mind for me that they were going to live. They sounded so horrible, like barking seals. They are getting better everyday. I was really worried because they wouldn't eat very much or drink much from the bottle. This month, February, Chantrell has learned how to walk behind her walker toy, Brenna is crawling on her hands and knees, and she can sit and clap her hands. Chantrell is about a month ahead of Brenna in most of the physical milestones but Brenna is more vocal than her sister. They both can say mama, dada, and baba. Chantrell is up late tonight and is throwing all her toys and bottle out of her crib. It's funny how they learn to do that. They will be 10 months old on March 3rd. I'll do a photo shoot of them with their teddy bear to show how much they have grown. Now...on with the show! Or should I say, snow. Ha Ha Ha.
Beautiful snow covered beach grass.
A bald eagle sitting on a post during a snow storm.
A flock of black birds getting ready to fly away.
Now, they are in flight. Barry took all these pics on his many walks to the beach.
A blurry pic of Bambi in the forest.
My attempt at a snowman.
A white cat in the white snow.
My niece Rhiannon, getting ready to sled down the neighbor's hill.
Wheeeeee!! Looks like fun.

My nephews Racer and Ryder climbing back up the hill. Too cute.

Lots of snow!!

A couple of weeks into December, we had a big snow storm and woke up to several inches of snow!! What a beautiful sight. This is our view out of the bedroom window.

Looking out the window without the blinds. It looks like a postcard. Just perfect!
Looking down at the cars covered in pretty snow.

The driveway with no footprints or tire tracks yet.

A close up look at the weather vane on the garage.

More pics of snow covered cars and trucks.
Everything is so quiet and still after a snowfall.

Looking at the house with mom's suburban, dad's truck, and Barry's truck.

My mom is taking pictures of the snow too. She came out without a coat on and used her wheelchair as a snow plow.
The girls are just hanging out wondering where mommy is.
Mommy is taking pictures of everything, of course. Count the eleven stockings hung by the fireplace. Dad, Mom, Tiffany, Adam, Rhiannon, Ryder, Racer, Barry, Michelle, Chantrell and Brenna. It was a full house for Christmas.

The babies were let out to play and mommy watched them. Daddy took the camera and walked down to the beach to take pictures of the snow. I think between us we took over 50 pictures of snow covered sceanery. Don't worry...I will only post a few more. It's hard to edit what I put on the blog. I love taking pictures.

Here are a few of my favorites that Barry took.

Elk, Snow, and Babies.

We awoke to screams of, "The elk are in our backyard!" This is the closest we have been to the herd before.
They were eating our grass before we scared them away.
We followed them to the neighbor's yard where they felt more secure. There is a pond down the hill and lots of vegetation for them to eat.
Elk bottoms are funny to look at.
The first snow fall of December. That month we had several storms that dumped 6 inches of snow on the Oregon Coast.

Looking from the deck over to the neighbor's house.

Another view from the deck.
Tiffany's suburban got a light dusting of snow.
The girls are waiting to go outside and play in the snow.

My nephews Ryder and Racer are on their bikes checking out the white stuff.

"Oh, what fun to be a kid again!"

Daddy Barry and his girls. Chantrell is the white bear and Brenna is the pink bear.

Mommy Shelly and the babies. Don't mind me...I just got up and didn't do anything with my hair or make-up.

The girl's first time in the snow. They thought it was cold on their hands and in their mouths.
