Happy Easter!!!

Well, we had a nice Easter today. The weather outside was terrible but we had lots of fun inside. "April showers bring May flowers" is the saying. We have lots of rain and wind so no hiding Easter eggs outside today. The twins had little baskets with plastic eggs and a chocolate bunny and a stuffed bunny rabbit too. I got them cute headbands with bunny ears to wear in pictures. We were all going to go to church today but the weather was too bad. I'm sure when we have a sunny day we will get dressed up and take pictures in our Easter outfits. Tiffy's kids got play toys for the beach, candy, stuffed animals and they loved it all. Dad made the ham, yams, and dinner rolls for lunch. It was delicious as usual. Barry doesn't care for the raisin sauce but the rest of us love it. I will post pics soon of the kids and their baskets. We are going to hide eggs inside the house (plastic ones...not the real ones) and the kids can find them. We decorated the eggs last night and decorated the tree with little wooden ornaments shaped like eggs and rabbits. Mom has kept that tradition since Germany. I remember her finding a pretty tree branch with flowers on it and helping her hang the little ornaments for Easter. Hope all my family and friends had a nice Easter. Love, the Lee Family

Visit to Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach

Erica, my sister, came to visit back in early Feb. of this year. We went to see Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach, OR. It is just a 20 minute drive south of Seaside. It was a cold day but sunny. We walked on the beach, took pictures and then had lunch at Mo's. They have the best clam chowder around. Erica got her favorite candy at the store, salt water taffy and then we went to Seaside for some shopping. She got a new sweatshirt. We had fun just the two of us bonding that day.
Twins in the stroller just enjoying the sun.
Looking down the beach at people walking.
Famous Haystack Rock. When it is low tide there are cool tide pools to look at. They are filled with starfish.
A better view of the rock and it was low tide. People are walking among the tide pools.
Pretty picture of the smaller rocks and the water.

Me and the babies.
Slimy seaweed covered rocks. Watch your step.

Erica is taking her own picture. She says that she does it all the time and they turn out pretty nice.

Here is mine. "How do I look?" Don't answer...I was just joking.

The babies again. This time closer to the rocks and people.

Happy Babies!!!
Brenna gets squinty eyes when she smiles...just like I do.

Close up of Chantrell and her "taco tongue." She went through a phase of having her tongue out all the time.

"Hey Mom...check me out."
Chantrell pushing the walker.

Brenna is holding one of her favorite blankies.

Hi Beautiful!!

Look at that face!!! Isn't she just adorable? I'm trying to limit each event to five photos...but it is too hard when they all look so good. Oh well, you will just have to suffer looking at lots of cute baby pictures. Hee Hee Hee!!!Brenna got stuck in the bottom of her toy. Bad mommy grabbed the camera first...then I helped her get out.Boy, did she cry. Poor thing."My, What big eyes you have Chantrell." "The better to see you with mommy." We were getting ready to go to Lincoln City to my dad's dental office. Erica was visiting and needed to have dental work done.Brenna wasn't looking too good. Later in the trip we found out why. She threw up all over herself and the carseat. Mmmmm. Love that smell of baby milk throw up.Ready to go bye-bye.

Upchuck City!!!

My girls have been sick with the flu for seven days now. They have been throwing up and having diarrhea many times each day. Barry and I have taken them to the doctors to make sure that they weren't getting dehydrated. We got some pills that you crush up and put under the tongue to help with the nasuea and throwing up. Let me tell you...I have been doing a lot of laundry and taking showers. The girls have thrown up on me, the bed, their cribs, their highchairs, their carseats, the floor, the couch, etc... Sometimes they would have leaking diapers full of runny diarrhea too. Yuck!!!! Poor little babies. They are doing better now after many days of drinking fluids and sleeping many hours. I was so stressed out because I didn't know how long this would last. Even today, Chantrell threw up her breakfast. I think she just ate too much because she is hungry and wants to eat everything in sight. She kept down lunch thank goodness. Even my mom and dad got the flu. I didn't get it but Barry did. Rhiannon stayed home from school for a couple of days with a stomache ache. Hopefully, that will be the last of the flu. I have been cleaning and disinfecting everything. We are looking forward to my sister Kay-Lynn's visit with her husband Greg and son Connor. They are staying at a hotel and will be here in Seaside for four days. We plan on going to the Tillamook Cheese Factory one of the days. It is supposed to rain but we hope for a little sunshine while they are here. Well, that's the latest news around here. I will be back to post more pics later.

Random pics from Jan and early Feb.

This is our new kitchen band. We have Brenna on the turkey basters..."Toot, Toot, Spit, Toot, Toot, Spit..."
and Chantrell is on the strainer. "Boing, Boing, Zip, Boing, Boing, Zip"
Now let's play all together. "Toot, Toot, Spit, Boing, Boing, Zip..."

Getting ready for a walk around the block. The girls are bundled up for the warm 50 degree weather. Not really warm at all if you ask me.
Hi Babies!!!

The fire hydrants are painted yellow and green...Oregon Ducks colors. We thought it would be funny to take a picture of it.

Barry at my b-day party. We always celebrate it on Super Bowl Sunday. We had a nice BBQ inside and watched the game afterwards.

Racer and Rhiannon with full mouths. Mom and dad and Ryder are there too. I think that my mom has more pics of the party on her camera.

I made a cake in the shape of a football. I turned 38 this year. I got some pretty shirts, jewelry, money and cards. It was a fun birthday.

I thought it was sweet of Rhiannon to make me a card and to give me some of her things as a gift. She made the cup in art class at school. She is becoming a tweenager already. Her friends are always calling her to come over and play or spend the night.

Inaugaration Day--Jan. 17th

Barry and I watched the event on TV at 9 am. We videotaped it for the girls to watch when they get older. Barry is a Democrat and is happy to have him as the President. We have been saving newspapers and magazines with Barack Obama in them. It's important to us to keep things like that for the twins because we want them to know what life was like when they were babies. My mom did the same thing for me too. I have newspaper clippings from when I was born and I like to go back and read them. It also has the price of what things cost from that time.

Chantrell is just waking up and playing in her crib.
A happy baby Brenna playing with my diet coke on the floor.
There she is awake and standing at the laundry basket.

Part two of the Jan trip to Eugene

Later in the day we went to dinner at Rose and Dave's house and then off to a couple of basketball games. Levi is in middle school and his dad, Kevin, is the coach.
Levi is wearing jersey number 1. Watching the boys play basketball was different than the girls. The boys were way more agressive and fought for the ball.
Pics from the game. Their team won the first game but lost the second game.
The twins were hanging out in their carseats trying to get some sleep.
Grandpa Dave is holding the twins. Grandma Rose is sitting right below Dave.
